Countryside Properties and L&Q have launched their public consultation on plans for the regeneration of Beam Park, one of the largest sites released earlier this year by the Mayor of London for much needed new homes for local people and Londoners. The proposals include a mix of around 2,800 properties and a range of community benefits including a proposed new railway station, park, two Primary Schools, new shops and restaurants, community facilities and a medical centre.
The first consultation events will be held on Friday, 18th November at Heathway Shopping Centre from 11am - 5pm and Saturday, 19th November at the Mardyke Community Centre from 9:30am - 12:30pm.
Following this initial feedback gathering, the team hope to gain valuable input from the local community at two workshops which will explore the proposed new community park and Station Square in greater detail. These workshops will be held on Wednesday, 30th November from 5pm - 8:30pm at Castle Green Leisure Centre and Thursday, 8th December from 5pm - 8:30pm at Mardyke Community Centre.
If you cannot make it to any of the above, you will have another opportunity to view and discuss the plans with the project team at our stall at the Rainham Village Christmas Fayre on Saturday, 3rd December from 10:30am - 3:30pm.
You can have your say on the proposals at anytime via this website, email, Freephone or Freepost.
